Now when you use Google Forms as an Assessment Tool, Forms will keep a running calculation of total points in your quiz as you create questions. To get started, open a Google Form, and change your settings to make your Form a Quiz.
- Click on the Gear
- Choose Quizzes
- Toggle the switch to Make This A Quiz
After setting up your quiz, the Total Point value will appear at the top right of your quiz Title. Now you are ready to edit answers, and assign point values. You can edit answers by doing the following:
- Click on a question
- Click Answer Key
- Choose the correct answer and set a point value.
As you alter points, or add more questions, the Total Points value adjusts at the top of the screen. If you prefer to have questions of differing values, you can! If you want all questions to have the same point value, you can change your Form Preferences to do so:
- Click the More Menu
- Select Preferences
- Turn on the Toggle for Default Quiz Point Value
- Enter your desired number of points.
- Click Save
