Simplify Collaboration with the New Google Classroom Share Classwork Button

If you’ve used Google Classroom as long as I have, you may know that if you want to share classwork you have created with a fellow teacher, you either had to copy and paste it or add them to your classroom as a Co-Teacher. But thanks to a recent update, you no longer have to add them as a Co-Teacher.

When working in Google Classroom, if you click on the Classwork menu, you’ll notice that at the top right of that page, there is now a Share Classwork button. When clicked, this button allows you to enable a link to your Classroom, that can be shared with others. When you share this link, others will have the ability to copy a single lesson or all of your lessons and publish them to their own Google Classroom course.

This is a great feature if you are a Department Chair or Curriculum Director in your district, as it enables you to create a template course that other teachers can use. This works especially well for first year teachers who may need a little assistance in getting their Google Classroom started, by allowing them to add a few exemplar lessons created by the district.
